Shandong Vocational College of Clothing (SVCC), approved by  Shandong Provincial Government and recorded by the State Ministry of Education, is the exclusive full-time higher education institution of clothing in Shandong Province. It is also the first government-funded higher vocational college of clothing nationwide. The college is located in tourist destination of Tai'an City, covering an area of 400,000 square meters and with a building area of 180,000 square meters. The famous Mount Taishan is quite near, which is popular in the universe for its magnificent scenery and brilliant culture.

The college currently has an enrollment of more than 8,000 students, majoring in Engineering and Management of clothing, Art of Clothing, Decoration and Design, International Trade, Information Engineering, Tourism, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Basic Units, etc. The college spends more than 30 million yuan on the teaching and scientific research instruments and equipments including clothing of well-known brands, mechanical and electric equipments, computers, multi-media audio-visual equipments and books.

The college has professional training subjects, adult higher education specialties and on-the-job postgraduate specialties, and 28 subjects of art of clothing design, clothing design and fabrication, cartoon design and make, international economy and trade, tourism management, internet technology, electromechanical integration technology and NC technology, among which clothing, arts, finance and trade, tourism, electrical and mechanical engineering, information have been six key subjects of the college. It enrolls students from Beijing, Shanghai, Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Sichuan, Guangdong, Fujian and other 28 municipalities, provinces, and autonomous regions nationwide. Many curriculums, Clothing Structure Design, for example, are honored as the provincial model curriculums.

There are 292 full-time teachers all with bachelor's degree or higher, including 65 masters, 99 professors and associate professors, and amount of "Two Quality " teachers. Besides, the college employs more than 50 experts, professors and foreign teachers to enrich its faculty. More than 200 students were rewarded in the competition concerning clothing, information, mechanical and electrical engineering of the national and provincial level. In the college, there are more than 10 the provincial-level research projects in recent years more than 10 research projects.

The college has established contact with many well-known universities, enterprises and research institutions from the United States, Canada, Australia, Russia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Thailand. It has also set up friendly and cooperative relations with China Unicom, Jiangsu Sainty Group, Qingdao Red Collar Group, the groom Sinore Group, the Guoren Group. It erected more than 50 practice stations in Shanghai, Suzhou, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Shenzhen.
