Peitian Gate (Gate of Associates of Heaven) means the virtue matches up to Heaven and Earth, as said by Confucius. This is the first courtyard in Dai Temple. Two stone inscribed monuments stand respectively in the east and west side of the courtyard. The eastern one is Xuanhe stele with a height of 9.25 meters, and the western one is Xiangfu Stele with a height of 8.2 meters. Both the steles are carried on the back of huge turtles that were regarded as son of the Dragon King in Chinese mythology.
