
On the opposite side of the Courtyard of Cypresses of the Han Dynasty is the Courtyard of Locust of the Tang Dynasty which is famous for the Locust tree of the Tang Dynasty. It withered to death during the years of the Republic of China. In 1952, people planted a young plant in its hollow trunk and named the scene Locust of the Tang Dynasty Embracing Her Son.
Numerous stone steles destroyed in the Culture Revolution in 1966 have been embedded in the wall in the northeast of the courtyard
