If tourists choose mid-route to climb Mount Taishan, they inevitable pass the three well-known gates, respectively, First Heavenly Gate, Middle Heavenly Gate and South Heavenly Gate. The major symbol of Middle Heavenly Gate is a stone memorial archway on which three Chinese characters Middle Heavenly Gate collected from the Sutra Rock Valley are engraved. In the north, there is Two Tiger Temple, about three rooms big. To the west of the temple, there is a huge stone called Hufu Stone which is like a crouching tiger. Arriving here, Tourists can go to South Heavenly Gate by cable car or on foot.
