In the north of Middle Heavenly Gate, double peaks stand facing each other, covered by pine trees. These peaks are parts of Duisong Mountain which is also named Myriad Pines Mountain. In Mount Taishan, the kinds of trees are different at different altitudes. Beneath the altitude of 800 meters, the trees are mainly pagoda trees and cypresses. And beyond the altitude of 800 meters, that’s a world of pine trees. Peaks of Duisong Mountain are all beyond an altitude of 800 meters, on which thousands of pine trees grow vigorously. In order to let tourists take a little rest and appreciate the scenery of Duisong Mountain, a pavilion called "the pavilion for Appreciating Duisong Mountain" was built on the western side of the path.
