South Heavenly Gate is also called the Third Heavenly Gate, and is the most well-known symbolic architecture of Mount Taishan. It is a pavilion with a stone arch. There is a loft with double roofs above the arch, known as Skyscraping Loft. South Heavenly Gate is built on the col between Flying Dragon Rock and Soaring Phoenix Ridge. The appearance of the structure is very attractive, with red wall and yellow glazed tiles. South Heavenly Gate is the destination of the long mountain-climbing path, since tourists have walked all the way and passed First Heavenly Gate and Middle Heavenly Gate, they need a taller and bigger "gate to heaven" to climax ascending Mount Taishan.
