Rear Rock Basin is located at the back of Mount Taishan, to the north of the highest Jade Emperor Peak. Since ancient times it was called the Fist Fairyland at the back of Mount Taishan. In the south of the mountain, a nunnery was built on one of several units of flat land. Since it is said that the Supreme Lady, Goddess Bixia once practiced austerity here, it is also called Supreme Lady Temple or Temple of Goddess Bixia.

The temple is divided into two yards. The west yard is composed of the gate, the main hall and the side hall, while the east yard is reached by Toutian Gate. Inside there are yard halls and pavilions, etc, all in disorder because of the limit of local topograghy. Around the location of the temple, the ancient pines stand upright with different gestures. Qiankong Peak stands high with its steep cliffs like walls behind the temple. There are two natural stone caves at the foot of the peak. The west cave is Chrysanthemum Cave while the east one is called Lotus Cave. The fountain bubbles and foams all the year round inside the cave without being used up. They have been praised in many ancient poems.
