Equipment Manufacture and Automation Projects

1. Automobile Transmission Assembly Line

       This project has established analysis and design systems for the transmission manufacturing assembly line technology in the inspection of automobile components, carried out a systematic research on the assembly theory and method, set up a digital environment, designed the process specification for transmission assembling system, and overcome the technique bottlenecks in the giant mechanical automation system. Now it has grasped the critical technique in the transmission assembly and examination and testing of equipment, finished the design and manufacture of transmission intelligent assembling and testing equipment, and carried out the massive test of the critical technique and equipment in the research and development. After the operation of the project, enterprises will have the capability of manufacturing 120,000 units of transmissions a year. The capital invested on the project is estimated to be around 30 million yuan.

 

2. Full-Automatic Laser Welding Assembly Line

       Laser Welding is the technique of using laser energy to automatically weld steels, stainless steel and aluminum-alloy of different materials, thicknesses and skins into integrated plates, sheets or sandwich panel so that it can meet the different requirements of components for the performance of the materials and realize light weight in the equipment of transportation.

 

3. SRP Subtractive Rapid Prototyping System

       SRP subtractive rapid prototyping system can mill materials of all varieties, including resin, epoxy tooling board, ABS engineering plastics, and copper, aluminum and steel. The feedforward processing technique of the system is capable of rapid processing while maintaining the intensive precision of the equipment. Compared with the traditional CNC cutting machine, it has the advantage of fast processing speed. Besides, it does not necessarily require skilled technicians and as much operations of them.

 

4. Bellow Welding Simultaneous Tracing and Automatic Welding Equipment

       This equipment can automatically trace and test the welding process by applying the laser sensors. The welding data tested by the sensors are then changed into the moving traces of the welding torches, which are sent to the movement controlling card to complete the movement of the welding torches and improve the accuracy of the torches by changing the speed of the operation platform and the diameter of the bellows.

 

5. Deep Cooling Processing Technique and Equipment

       Deep cooling processing is a new technique which places the processed work pieces in a particular and controllable low temperature environment to alter the micro structure of the materials and improve the performance of the materials. Nowadays with the development and improvement of the deep cooling technology, its applied areas are also increasing. Besides the traditional iron and steel materials, it can also be applied on materials like powder metallurgy, copper alloy, aluminum alloy and other non-metal materials.

 

6. Laser Curing and Rapid Prototyping Equipment

       This project did a research on the advanced manufacture technology which has the functions of pre-compensation and distortion correction. It is mostly used in the prototype manufacture of automobile components, mobile phones, laptops, digital cameras and home appliances. The capital invested on the project is estimated to be around 5 million yuan.

 

7. Vacuum Freeze-Dried Food Manufacturing Equipment and Technolgoy

       There are two kinds of dehydration for food, the common evaporation by heating and the less common distillation by freezing, which first freezes the food, and then distillate the ice crystals in the food in a vacuum environment so as to dry the food. This freeze-drying technology has newly emerged in China while it has developed a lot in foreign countries. It is mainly used in the deep processing of food and health products. The capital invested on this project is estimated to be around 40 million yuan.

8. Catalytic Wet Oxidation Complete Equipment in High Concentration Organic Wastewater Processing

       Industrial wastewater accounts for 70% of the wastewater in China. In the processing of the industrial wastewater, the most difficult type is the organic industrial wastewater as it is highly toxic and not liable to degradation. The processing of this kind of organic industrial wastewater in becoming more and more urgent as it is likely to cause severe harm to the surroundings and waters. Catalytic wet oxidation, which emerged in the 1980s, is an advanced technology for the processing of organic industrial wastewater of high concentration. The CWO technology and equipment researched and developed by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS, which have been applied in Dalian Bingshan Group, enjoys an advanced and irreplaceable status in the industrialization of CWO. The capital invested on such a project is estimated to be 12-15 million yuan.

 

9. Urban Solid Waste Decontamination Treatment and Resourceful Utilization Technology

       The decontamination and resourceful utilization of the urban solid waste have been a problem haunting governments of all levels and citizens. The Institute of Applied Ecology in Shenyang, CAS has successfully developed the technology to treat the urban solid waste and utilize the waste as resources to produce organic fertilizer on the basis of mixed bacteria fermentation technology and solar energy. This project, mainly used in the decontamination of the urban solid waste, has the advantage of low investment and good ecological benefit with its scientific design and technique. It is capable of processing 200 to 300 tons of waste a day in the city with a population of 800,000 to 1,000,000. The capital invested on the project is estimated to be 10-20 million yuan.

 

10. Micro Reaction Technology

       Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS, has carried out a research on the micro chemical industry since 2000 in order to solve the problems in the chemical industry. The research has led to a micro chemical engineering and technology research platform integrating micro chemical industry, and fundamental research and application. This project can help to improve the efficiency and safety in the micro chemical process. It can also conserve energy and reduce consumption. Therefore it can be used in such areas as fine chemical engineering, petrochemical engineering, energy and nanometer materials. The capital invested on the project is estimated to be 5 million yuan.

 

11. Biomass Material Diol Production

       Most of the diol production technologies are using either such chemicals as petrol or coal or food biomass like starch or glucose as the materials. However, China is has a large population and has short supplies of petrol, coal or grain. Therefore it is becoming urgent to develop diol production technology with methyl cellulose, non-food biomass, as the main materials. This project is using maize straw as the material and can produce 20,000 tons of diol every year. Now it is seeking partners or cooperators. The capital invested on this project is estimated to be 135 million yuan.

12. Promotion of Automobile Exhaust Purification Catalyst

       Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS, after 20 years of research, has developed automobile exhaust catalyst in line with the national VI and V standards. This catalyst can be used in the purifiers of automobiles and motorbikes. With the development of China’s economy, China’s possession of automobiles is increasing. At the same time, however, the Chinese government is issuing more and more strict restrictions on the emission of automobile exhaust. Therefore this technology has a bright market prospect. The capital invested on this project is estimated to be around 8 million yuan.

 

13. Promotion of Nano Titanium Dioxide

       Smoke denitration has been listed as one of the key areas of technological development by the Chinese government. The core technology in smoke denitration is that of the catalyst, the technique of whose production has been in the grasp of foreign corporations. The nano titanium dioxide, the carrier of the denitration catalyst, has been developed by the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS, and has good performance in diffusion. It can be massively applied in the steam power plants. The project is now in its phase of promotion. The capital invested on this project is estimated to be 15-20 million yuan, which may bring profits of 60-80 million yuan.

 

14. Deposition Equipment and Technique for the Extra-low or Low Fricative Diamond Carbon Nano Composite Films

       Supported by the national 863 Program, the project developed a series of extra-low or low fricative diamond composite film in line with energy conservation and consumption reduction. This project can be applied in areas like energy saving engine, compressors for energy-saving air-conditioners and refrigerators and oil field equipment. The capital invested on this project is estimated to be 5 million yuan.

 

15. High Efficiency Cement Grinding Aid

       Cement manufacture is one of the pillar industries of the national economy and at the same time it is an industry of high energy consumption. The Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS has developed a new cement grinding aid. After the scale testing, it has built a production line, which has been used in some cement plants and has improved the quality of the cement.

 

16. Artificial Arthritis Bioactive Coating

       Most of the foreign arthritis prosthetic products are using Ti-HA coating, which has the advantage of high strength and biological compatibility. Currently most of the top artificial arthritis markets are monopolized by foreign products. Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS has developed Ti coating and HA coating with the technology of vacuum plasma spraying. It can be applied in biological, medical and new material areas, and has good market prospects and social benefits with the development of society, technology and medicine. The capital invested on this project is estimated to be 15 million yuan.

 

17. New Multi-functional Organic-inorganic Composite Nano HIFU Angiography or Synergist

       Currently, the High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is widely used in the treatment of tumor thanks to its non-invasiveness and improvement of patients’ life quality. The Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS has been dedicated to the research of application of Nano biotechnology into ultrasonic imaging and treatment based on the HIFU treatment. It has developed a new multi-functional organic-inorganic composite Nano HIFU synergist, which can be applied in areas like biology, medical technology and new materials. The capital invested on this project is around 10 million yuan.

 

18. High-performance Environmental Auto-cleaning Coating

       Titanium oxide is an N-type semiconductor of high performance. Titanium crystals of Nano scale possess a series of peculiar and unique physical and chemical characteristics so that it is widely used in areas like dye-sensitized solar cell and semiconductor photocatalysis. In recent years, the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS has realized the efficient and controllable compounding of titanium oxide Nano crystal colloid. This technique has now widely used and the project has established long term establishments with a lot of internationally prestigious corporations. It can be used in the coatings, facing bricks and glass curtain walls thanks to its good performance in stain resistance. Therefore, it has a good market prospect. The capital invested on this project is around 5 million yuan.

 

19. High-performance Magneto-dependent Sensor

       The high-performance magneto-dependent sensor is developed by the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS. The core component of the sensor is a new intelligent magnetic material. 20. High Thermal Conductivity and Low-temperature Cofired Ceramic Material

       With the miniaturization and intellectualization of electronic components, there have been higher requirements for the high-density packaging. Meanwhile the thermal conductive capacity will determine the stability and life of the electronic components. Therefore it is of great significance to develop packaging materials of high thermal conductivity. For this purpose, a high thermal conductivity and low-temperature cofired ceramic (HTC-LTCC) material used for LED packaging is designed and developed. The capital invested on this project is estimated to be around 5 million yuan.

 

21. Indoor Air Deep Purification Material and Component

       The Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS has developed an air purifier in confined space with photocatalytic material as the core technique. It has the capability of decomposing the organic pollutants into CO2 and H2O in a rapid way in an indoor lighting condition. Therefore it can be applied in homes, offices, hotels, hospitals, railway stations or other public areas. For a daily production of 100 purifiers, it is estimated to need 500 m2 of area, 30 workers, 20 administrative or marketing staff, 2 million yuan of floating capital and 3 million yuan of fixed asset investment.

 

22. Anti-Vibration Damping Material

       Usually the air pipes of aerodynamic mechanics and sound proof shields are made up of metal sheets, through which the noise of the machines are radiated so that it may cause noise pollution to the environment. To prevent such pollution, the usual practice is to cover anti-vibration damping materials. The CZ type of anti-vibration damping is made of organic resin and suitable stuff to reduce the noise. It can be used in areas like electronics and information, new material and aeronautics and astronautics. The capital invested on this project is estimated to be 10 million yuan.

 

23. Calcium Carbonate Crystal Whisker Manufacture Equipment

       Calcium carbonate is another new type of inorganic stuff material after Nano calcium carbonate. It is nontoxic and odorless, in the shape of white loose solid. This project provides a manufacturing method of calcium carbonate crystal whisker of high aspect ratio. The material of this method is easily available so that it can increase the production of whiskers and reduce the cost. Therefore it has a good market prospect.

 

24. Metal Matrix Self-Lubricating Composites

       Metal matrix self-lubricating composites are a new type of material that is produced by using advanced powder metallurgy technique. It is featured by its high strength, low frication and durability, which can be used in an indoor temperature of -1000. Therefore it is widely used in areas like aeronautics, astronautics, weaponry, nuclear industry, automobile industry, etc.

25. Lycopene of High Purity

       Lycopene, a type of carotenoid, is the main pigment of ripe tomatoes.        Transparent conductive oxide (TCO) for solar cells mainly include In2O3:Sn(ITO), SnO2:F(FTO), ZnO:Al(AZO) and other compound thin films. The transparent conductive glass usually accounts for 30-40% of the cost the amorphous silicon solar cells. Most of the TCO in China are now depending on import, as the domestic plants still cannot meet the needs of demand. From the perspective of market prospect, thin-film solar cells has wider application prospect in the integration of photovoltaic construction and massive low-cost power station, compared with the tradition crystal silicon solar cells. 32. Super-Capacitor

       According to its output performance, super-capacitors can be divided into two types: power type and energy type. The Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS has made advances in both types. While regarding the energy type, it also has made great advances in the critical materials. Currently China’s demand for capacitors maintains an increase of 30%-50% every year. It is predicted by experts that China’s yearly demand for super-capacitors reaches 21.5 million, with an increase of 50% every year. Therefore it has bright market prospect.

 

33. Intelligent and Energy Saving Glass Coating

       In buildings, according to statistics, glass windows are the main channel through which buildings exchange solar thermal energy with the outer environment. Therefore window glass energy conserving technology is the key in construction energy conservation and reduction of construction greenhouse emission. Recently, the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS, has developed world’s largest intelligent temperature controlling glass coating with an effective area of 30×40cm. The medium-scale biomass gasification power generation technology developed by the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, CAS, has reached an internationally advanced level. Now it has applied for 9 national patents and this project has been applied in China, Taiwan and Southeast Asia. It has good market prospects and good social benefits.

 

35. The Integrated Utilization of New Energy in Architecture

       This project integrates technologies like solar energy light and heat, solar energy air-conditioning and ground source heat pump air conditioning into an architect. The system can save power and common energy, reduce the emission of SO2, CO2, NOX and dusts so as to improve the air quality of the cities. The project can also promote the development of such concerning industries as construction material, heat pump and solar energy equipment.

 

36. The Integrated Utilization of Geothermal Energy

       Heating, air-conditioning and life are the major parts of civil construction. With the rapid development of national economy and improvement of people’s living standards, there is an increasing demand for them. Pollution control and energy saving in construction have become the major issues in national economy. Our country has a rich geothermal resource. Modern Agriculture Projects

37. New Grape Variety Selection and Breeding

       The Institute of Botany, CAS, has carried a series of work on collection, storage, appraisal and germ plasm innovation and has established an information platform for grape germ plasm. Up until now it has developed 14 grape varieties for fresh consumption and 7 grape varieties for processing. The varieties developed by the institute are cold and disease resistant. They are rich in the content of fructose and therefore are particular suitable for wine making.  

 

38. Biological Organic Selenium-Rich Double-Effect Foliar Fertilizer

       This project is the research achievement of the Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology, CAS. It is produced by using the high-protein organic matter as the main material, and in particular is rich in selenium, which is necessary element for human body. Now the product has been widely used in the three Northeastern provinces and Shandong province in China and is well received by the farmers. It is suitable for the spraying on vegetables, flowers, fruit trees and medicine herbs. The investment of this project requires capitals of 1-3 million yuan, and an area of 6-10 mu.

Robot Industry Park Projects

45. Inspection Robot System for Extra-High Voltage Power Transmission Line

      This robot is supported by the national “863” program and the Northeast Power Co., LTD., of the State Grid Corporation of China. It is a robot with independent intellectual property and can be used in the inspection operation of extra high power transmission lines. The system is composed of an inspection robot, which moves along the power transmission line, and a ground base station, which has the function of remote controlling and monitoring. The images of the power transmission equipment taken by the high speed camera on the robot are transmitted to the ground base station through wireless transmission technology so that the technicians can be aware of the operation status of the transmission lines.

 

46. Rescue Robot in Ruins and Caves

       This robot is a special robot for the trace and rescue of earthquake survivors. It can enter the ruins through the narrow entrance and move and detect in the ruined buildings. Besides, it can also transform itself depending on the different environments and tasks. The robot has water and dust proof designs so that it can work in the rains and snows. The infrared night vision system enables the robot to work not only in the daytime but also at night, and the rechargeable battery guarantees that the robot can work long hours.

 

47. Cable Remote Operated Marine Robot

       This robot, also called remote operated vehicle (ROV), is a robot that can operate in the marine environments. It is a kind of high-tech equipment that integrates computer controlling, mechanical restructuring, hydraulic driving and controlling, fluid dynamics, optics, acoustics, image transmission, etc. Currently, the robot has been used in areas such as rescue of submarines and marine oil exploration.

 

48. Capsule Endoscope Robot

       Capsule endoscope robot is a new diagnosis and treatment facility for digestive tract diseases. It helps to improve the correctness and safety of diagnosis and reduce the pain of the patients, therefore contributing to the promotion of diagnosis and treatment technology for digestive tract diseases. It can be used for the examination of physiological information in the digestive tract so as to lay the basis for drug release and biopsy.
